    Mascman's DMG Snipe Tuber 1.9

Taking some time today to build up my MRC...I picked up the old red MRC from BuckImod

I found a used DMG Snipe tuber on the other fourm. I like the NAT and the Snipe V2 a little more, but this was a decent price.

    SPECS
    DMG Snipe chasse
    Stock motor and ESC
    Spectrum TX / RX
Stock shocks - limited and out-boarded
    Chisels on Axial beadlocks
    Losi 600 Lipo
    Hitec 615mg
Losi carbon fiber servo / lipo mount
    Custom 4-links
    30° Losi links

I'm 4-linking it right now and the rear is mostly done.

I tried my hand at cutting and shutting some Hammers. They came out pretty good.

I had planned to run these, but ordered up some Chisels since I'm not sure how well the Hammers would do. I couldn't get them mounted on my Axial beadlocks so that helped with my decision too!

I will probably weight them and glue them to the stock wheels. I think they will need siped too to give them some flex.

    2.2 Hammer, 1.9 Hammer, Stocker

    Definitely has a height advantage!

Sweet, you sure love DMG products! Those hammers came out nicely, Been thinking of doing this but not sure if I have the patience to finish a full set.

Thanks. I like the DMG on my big Losi and I'm trying to give them a similiar look...plus tubers are just cool!

I'll bring the Hammers to the next comp so you can check them out. Who knows...they may crawl well. I still think I'm going to cut the treads to allow them to flex more.

Now that they are cut and shut, they feel stiffer.

I believe I read a thread on RCC about cut n shut hammers and they were indeed stiffer after this process but worked alright. Maybe sip them some and that should free them up from being so stiff, just a suggestion.

You drinking too much home brew?!

I'll cut the solid tread into a knobby and go from there.

Ya lol we just brewed up some 9% abv +/- potential arrogant bastard last week. I realized after I submitted the response that I regurgitated what you said but didnt go back and edit. Either way cant wait to see em, looks like you did a fantastic job on them in the pics. Almost hard to tell you cut n shut em.

                  Front 4-link is done.

I have the body sides cut out, but I am having a heck of a time with the hood.

I'm lost as to what to do here! I've pretty much cut up the TLT body and now the hood piece is pretty much scrap.

                  Any suggestions?

Not really what I had in mind, but apparently all I need to be comp legal is this sliver of a hood:

Waiting on my Chisels, then I'll mount them to my Axial beadlocks...got black with grey rings to match the big Losi.

Also waiting on the 600 Lipo and carbon fiber servo mount...then I'll get it wired up.

Just mocked her up. I like it so far.
