I'm putting this on the calendar. Hopefully the wife will let me out for the day.

If so, I'll be in for class 2 & 3.

How much water will we be looking at? I would be running Greg's class 3 and it's not waterproofed. My class 2 is, though.

Last year the water/mud was only tire deep for the 2.2, no over the hood parts. But that was last year! I would be waterproof just because ESC is $100 + and balloons and silicone are only a few dollars

Count me in for class 2 & 3. I'm not sure how many others will be coming with 3 or 4 class 2 rigs.

I need to talk Greg into switching his motor/ESC combo to something a little easier to waterproof, something less expensive, and definitely easier on parts. That Tekin RS Pro/5.5 turn brushless is just too much.

No brainer for brushless would be a VXL...

The VXL isn't sensored, though, is it? That's the one really nice thing about the Tekin. It has great low speed resolution and zero cogging, even for such a hot motor.

Evil, the VXL is sensored (very well kept secret) I'm running a 5.5t Novak 550 can in my 4x4 Slash with that esc. There is a small black rubber cover over the sensor port that goes pretty much un-noticed!

There will be less water than C-n-C.

Jeff, I don't remember anybody breaking last year. It's challenging but not destructive............hardly at all........... not to bad anyway...........well maybe just a little.
