Re: Winter Monster Bash 6 in Bradenville, PA (January 5th & 6th)

      Note from Neil (Digger)

John, here's an update about Winter Monster Bash 6:

      ***Major announcment!!!***

John Peoples from A.B. Charles Hobby Shop has stepped up and hooked us up with not one, but TWO awesome raffle prizes for the event.

One prize is an HPI 4x4 Wheely King!

Another prize is an Axial Scorpion!

There may also be some other door prizes added as well, but I don't have specifics on that yet. I just wanted to share the information on the raffle trucks as these are both really cool prizes. The tickets will be very reasonable, too. This is definately confirmed, too, as I have both trucks right now!

Thanks to A.B. Charles and John Peoples for such an incredible gesture!

Re: Winter Monster Bash 6 in Bradenville, PA (January 5th & 6th)

I know you guys are interested in this info, and would like it BEFORE you get there, so:

Here are the Trials class rules:

            2wd Class:
Basically any type of 2wd Monster Truck. May be front or rear wheel drive.
No limit on motors, batteries or suspension setup.
No limit on tire size or tread. Must physically fit on the course.

            4wd Class:
Basically any type of 4wd Monster Truck. Only allowed ONE "serious crawling" mod.
("serious crawling" mods include, but are not limited to the following:
4 wheel steer, locked diffs, gear reductions or "dig" setups.)
More than ONE "serious crawling" mod and you need to move to 2.2 4wd or Extreme.
No limit on motors, batteries or suspension setup.
No limit on tire size or tread. Must physically fit on the course.

            2.2 4wd Class:
This is for the 2.2 crawlers. Must be 4wd. Allowed to have 2 or more "serious crawling" mods.
("serious crawling" mods include, but are not limited to the following:
4 wheel steer, locked diffs, gear reductions or "dig" setups.)
No limit on motors, batteries or suspension setup.
Must use 2.2" sized rims/tires. Tread is allowed to be cut and modified, but not added to.
No limit on wheelbase or track width, but must physically fit on the course.

            Extreme Class:
This class is for the "super class" type crawlers. Must be 4wd.
Allowed to have 2 or more "serious crawling" mods.
("serious crawling" mods include, but are not limited to the following:
4 wheel steer, locked diffs, gear reductions or "dig" setups.)
No limit on motors, batteries or suspension setup.
No limit on tire size or tread. Must physically fit on the course.

So if you look through that, you can see that the rules for this event are a little different from the USRCCA rules. 4 wheel steering is allowed in ANY class. Just about any mod is legal for any class, as long as there is only ONE mod on the 2wd or 4wd classes. Make sense? I beleive that the last event, the 2.2 class was won by a 4 wheel steer wild dagger!

I hope everyone comes out and has a great time! Remember the giveaway trucks, too! I know I'm lusting after the Axial truck!

*** Also, this just in!!!*** HobbytownUSA has stepped up and donated a Team Losi XXXT Sport 2 RTR as a Grand Prize giveaway/door prize! This truck would fit roughly half the classes on regular friday night races and would do very well to boot! Thanks to Matt and Hobbytown USA for their generous donation!
