  • Another friend with Leukemia

Back in October a friend and neighbor of ours was also diagnosed with Leukemia. He has been going through the Chemo but it has turned. They are saying that it has now become Acute and he needs to go into the hospital.

His situation is that he had not been at his current job long enough so his insurance is running out. This means that he will have to pay for it. A couple of the neighbors have rallied around to help out and we are having a Spaghetti Dinner to try and help with the cost ($13,000).

If anyone would like to come to the dinner, please let me know. We are trying to presell tickets.

There will be some great Baskets that you can bid on through the Chinese Auction...

    Re: Another friend with Leukemia

It is with great sadness that I post this.

Ken lost his battle with Leukemia last night at midnight. He was going through aggressive chemo to go into remission so that he can get a cord transplant. While receiving platelets, he had a massive stroke.

They kept him on life support until the kids could get there. He only lasted 15 mins off the support.

Please keep the Medvids (Debbie, Kenny, and Brian) in your thoughts.

    His suffering is over.
