  • Leukemia Awareness

    Just had to post this.

In the past three months, two of my close friends have been diagnosed with Leukemia. First one was the one that I posted about the Spaghetti Dinner.
February 1st, we found out that the guy that we camped with all last year was put in the hospital for 4-6 weeks for Leukemia Treatments. This is going to be a long haul for them.

I know you don't know Ken and Jeff, but keep them in your prayers.

It is unbelievable how things hit so fast.

        Re: Leukemia Awareness

I haved a co-worker here who's daughter has Lukemia, She's only 12. This is a hard thing to deal with. She's been in and out of remission multiple times. It breaks my heart when I see her and think I had a bad day . Ken and Jeff will be in our prayers as well.

            Re: Leukemia Awareness

I hate to bring this one up again....

My friend (Jeff) is doing great...he is 100% Leukemia Free.

Got news today that his wife was just diagnosed with Breast Cancer.

She is going in on the 18th to have it removed.

Please keep the Reis Family (Trailsport) in your prayers.

              Re: Leukemia Awareness

It is with a sad heart that I tell you that one of the two friends that was fighting this disease lost his battle. He tried so hard to beat it.

He died last night after having a massive stroke while receiving platelets.

Please keep the Medvid family in your thoughts and prayers.

                    Re: Leukemia Awareness

Not good. It's hard to take especially when they fight so hard.

Our prayers go out to his family.

I wish I could close this thread for good. I thought I was going to be able to...

Got the call yesterday that he is back in the hospital. After 6 mos. free of Leukemia, the damn stuff is back.

I have set up a Blog...please take a moment and post up your thoughts and prayers to Jeff.

He is putting a lot of faith in God...it would be great for him to know that we are out there.

I received a call today from Jeff (Trailsport)'s Wife. Jeff was put in ICU. When I got down there, he was getting settled in his bed. We were looking forward to watching the Pens from the ICU...Never thought I could say that...

When I left tonight, they put him on a Ventilator and sedated him.

He has Pneumonia and a bacteria in his blood.

Please keep him and his family in your thoughts and prayers.

It is with a heavy heart that I lost a really close friend today. His battle with Leukemia has ended.

I am keeping his Username open for Visitor Messages...
