AX-10 driveshafts compared to Pede driveshafts....

ok, i am putting this question out the to any of you guys that have used both...

IS THERE ANY REAL DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE 2?

i am asking, because i want to use maxx drive shafts, using the trick over on RCC, and it says to use the Axial metal yokes, but i was looking at them online, and they look almost IDENTICAL to the Pede metal yokes. however, the axial metal yokes are $21 each, but the pede metal yokes are $18 a PAIR. i was just wondering is there a difference in the 2?

I have the pede shafts & yokes on mine.

The shafts, even though they don't look it, are considerably stronger than the AX-10's. I used to pop the ends constantly. I have yet to pop one of the pedes...and for the price, they're cheaper than the drive shaft rings.

I just put the pede yokes on last night. These, too, seem better than the AX-10 stuff. They're a bit thicker which allows a longer set screw. Hopefully they hold better since I had a problem with the set screws loosening constantly. If they still loosen, I'll switch out the blue for red locktite.

According to a build that Bender did (on RCC) for his new comp rig they are a direct fit, although they are a bit shorter. I did run into an issue with clearance on the spur gear on my scaler build running the Ax10 tranny. I had to move to a smaller spur gear. Also I used the plastic yokes and had to dremmel out the the flat inside the yoke.

sweet!!! now i just need to order my parts from tower. as much as i would prefer getting them from ABC, i just don't have the time to get out there this weekend.
