  • Driveshaft question

For those of you that have lengthened your wheelbase.. I went to HPI's website and looked at their phase 1 conversion and they suggest using two differnt e savage drivelines, 82008 and 82009. I was out at ABC last night and they only had the 82008 as a package of two. My question is, couldn't I just use these two and trim the front one a little more? I've moved the servo, locked the diffs and flipped the chasis, and now I really want to make it a better crawler so I was hoping to get it done this weekend.

Any suggestions from the wheely king masters would be appreciated.

Hmm I think that when I did my initial stretch, I used two of the savage shafts, and just trimmed one of them...
when I do the R2d conversion one of them will go back to the stock WK one.

      CK,
WHen you built your lower links did you follow the instructions from HPI? I know on there he does one set a litle longer than the other. I just swtiched my chasis around last night and it seemed to me that links were the same front and back. So I"m wondering if you just used the 82008's that they have out at ABC, why did you have to shorten the back one, I can't remember if the HPI writeup made the front links alittle longer than the back? I'm full blown addicted now, After the servo mount and locking the diff's and moving the battery it crawls so much better, I just to make it do even more.

      thanks
