• NEW PRODUCT: Integy 2.2 Conversion HD Clod Axles

Look what showed up at my door today...

CIMG2234.JPG[/attachment:26rj2fkx]

Yes it's true...

CIMG2235.JPG[/attachment:26rj2fkx]

First impression is nice...they are machined nice and clean
CIMG2239.JPG[/attachment:26rj2fkx]

Compared to the stock tubes removes an extra half inch on each side
CIMG2243.JPG[/attachment:26rj2fkx]

One nice thing is that they have supplied three two extra holes to clock the axles. This is going to be great for tucking that motor up out of the way.
CIMG2256.JPG[/attachment:26rj2fkx]

I can't compare the weight with my current one's but these put the weight low. I will have to compare them with stock and with CVD's.
CIMG2245.JPG[/attachment:26rj2fkx]

Here they are broken down...tolerances are nice and tight
CIMG2246.JPG[/attachment:26rj2fkx]
CIMG2247.JPG[/attachment:26rj2fkx]

Now comes the part that I am not thrilled about.
Turning angle...

These things have a ton of meat that you can cut into but why wouldn't they just machine the edges to get more angle out of them. It isn't impossible to do it but...you have to do it. The dremel will be hitting these before they go on. (I used the lined paper as a reference for each one)

yep, they doo look nice! get that dremel out and make em turn sharper. looks like integy got em half right, smart enough to allow clocking but forgot about the importance of turning

hope they work out good!

Not only did they miss the boat on turning angle, but why the dogbones? Why not put CVDs in there. Still very cool idea, and a nicely machined product.

Doubtful as they removed 1/2 inch of length from the inner shaft side.

If you were to remove 1/2 inch and remachine in the splines you could use the CVDs in there.
