Astro Flight 114 Charger

Hopefully one of you guys can help me out a little bit.

I have an old Astro Flight 114 AC/DC quick charger that I bought with my first car back in 92-93. I thought I could only do Nicads on this charger, but I was reading some responses over at RCC and it seemed like some people were suggesting that you could use an older charger like mine with NimH. Does anyone have any suggestions? After I read through the thread I was pretty confused. I'd rather spend the money converting my WK into a crawler or 2.2 scaler than on a new charger, but I don't want to blow anything up.

I should have asked when I was there last week. I bought it there originally when I got my first truck.
