  • Wiring up my 65t Integy

I just ran over to ABC and picked up the 65t that John left for me. Does anyone know if this motor has 0 timing and whether it matters when I wire it up?

    thanks

Yes it is a zero...you can check the top of the bell...you will see notches...Lathe motors come set a zero

Awesome. Also, I suck at soldering. I have some quick connects that will work, Do you think I could get away with putting those on there and just a few drops of solder to hold them?

You should solder...you could have had me or JohnatABC solder leads on it if you needed. Do what you can...

Tin the tabs and then tin the wire...you will be an expert in no time...

It's alive. I actually googled "how to solder" and realized what I've been screwing up for all these years. I never tinned properly. I got it all hooked up and in, with 15/96 and it seems to be a torquey beast. Goes at about walking speed.

Now a new question arises, should I CA my hexes into the CR01 rims because now I'm afraid of stripping them out.

Again, thanks John for the motor hookup. I also picked up a 12t pinion, but thought that might be just a tad too much.

Wish I didn't have to go out tonight.

you can if you want, it wont hurt. You may or may not strip out the hex un-glued. Just make sure your wheel nuts are always tight.

I learned how to solder by watching vids on YouTube.

Man this thing is torquey. It is eating up my rockpile and the 65t barely even gets warm. I wish I had some lights cuz I'd definitely do some night crawling.
