  • Cleaning the motor after running in the water questions.

I was running my scaler in the water today, what do I have to clean in the motor?

I have motor spray, and I'll spray it, then what, oil the bearings, and brushes? Do I pop the brushes out, also, what oil do you use on the brushes?

    Thanks

everything you suggested are all good ideas. I wouldn't get all crazy with pulling every bearing apart unless you plan on having it sit for a long time before you run it again.

i would just spray the motor, and put a couple drops of oil on the bearings, then run the motor for a few min and repeat. that should do it.

Motor spray, and a drop of oil. Now if you were running in a lot of sand water I would recommend pulling out the brushes, and tearing down the motor for a good cleaning.
