  • "Scaler" Tamiya HiLux

Well guys, I did it. I will actually be running a rice burner...

Picked up my HiLux Yesterday and am doing a Marathon build. No time for pics. Everyone has seen one built. No mods...stock (Following Steve's Path).

The interesting thing will be what goes on top of it.

I will be running the 35T Warrior which should give me enough speed for some timed runs.

I hope to have an RTI ramp done for 3/9 so that we can set our base number. More on that in another thread.

Here is the only pic I have...

Nice Dad... Good luck with it and I can't wait to see it on 3/9!

Can I bring just my body and axles and call it a scaler?

My marathon build was completed last night. Painting the body tonight...should have pics tomorrow.

I was planning on running the stock tires...Anyone have luck with them? Should I throw some foam in them? They look pretty stiff.

I may get 1.9 Mudslingers just for this rig.

          Any thoughts???

it looks like a good color for a yota. do the bright ultra light come with it (ones on front push guard)?

looks like im going to be getting a hilux too. and hopfully its together for the 9th.

Oh it will be there...not sure how capable...Need to take some spy shots of your suspension. This thing has little to no flex. Lift the front tire about an inch and the back starts coming off...

Sweet, that is how those trucks are Dad!! Just throw a four link on out back and call it done

At least you will have a scaler there... I could put my Scout body back on the 2.2 and call it scale or maybe the TXTuber will qualify as scale

I really want to keep it scale...I know that four link on the rear could fit but I like the whole idea.

                          Wait until you see it...

I am going back and forth on posting pics...she is done besides electronics which will be tonight.

I am so pumped about it.

My girls are fighting on who will be driving it...
