Project YJ started!!!

Ok so I picked this up off of Stick king, And I want to do it up right...
Thinking about removing the roof, and doors, However I also want to do away with the fender flares and add some styrene to the lower body (under the doors) and am not sure about how to attach it..
My master plan is to do the top as a removeable hardtop (just like a 1.1) and the doors as removable as well... wish these damn bodies werent so exspensive...also CJ was the jeep you built a 1/10th scale or smaller?
I am thinking about using that interior, as well as robbing the rear lights off of one for my yj....
Down side to the project is opening the diffs in the rear and not having a manual for it.... anyone have a line on one?

those hosers over on tamiyaclub would be in TEARS seeing you actually running that body on the rocks!!!

have fun with it. i'm not sure, but i think diggler's wife over on RCC was making some really nice custom soft tops for a while. i'd say check that out for your top....

check wal mart, they had tons of them for 20 bucks when i bough my 2. check the one in carnegie.

Hey CJ if you happen to pass through there again and see one could you snag it up for me? or if anyone passes through and finds one for that price grab it and I will reimburse you for it..
I only have about an hour each day that is free between school and work....

Carnegie is out. That's where I got mine. The last time I was a The Super center in Robinson they had some as well as the one in Bethel

did you look all the way in the back on the back wall above the drinks? they had at least 200 stacked up there but then again it was sometime in nov or dec.
