2.2 or 1.9 That is the question

It seems that there are several of us that are running into the dilemma of tire/wheel size.

My question to you and the poll.

Wheels: 2.2 or 1.9
Tires: Which for each

Now remember this is a Scale forum so think it through the eyes of they have to be scale before performance...a blended option would be perfect.

Funny you say that, for the Ambush body (scout) the 1.9 Krushers work out to a 37 in tall tire. Definitely not stock size

my bro and i use to take the jeep out on 215's (smallest that will fit. passenger car tire). they can stock with 225's.

I think the 1.9's look better on a scale truck, If you are going for scale monster truck (ala the eighties style prior to the tech leap in monster truck racing) 2.2's are the way to go.

I popped the stock tlt tire/wheel combo on to take a look. Looks a bit more sane. I am tire shopping online right now

i like the way 2.2 looks on a scale truck it looks more off road like the real trucks

I've also spent $140 in 2.2 wheels so there is no turning back for me.

I've been asking about this scale class all along because I was afraid something like this would happen.

If everyone goes 1.9 then I guess I'm out of this altogether and would only run for fun.

There are 1.9 and 2.2 scalers, and no rules dictating what you need to run. I spent WAY more than that in AL wheels for the 2.2 comp and 2.2 scaler only to find out the tires I wanted to run were too big . So I sold some wheels, and recouped that money to go towards 1.9s . I am doing it because the tires I want to run with the body I want to run look like crap in 2.2.

Coles and DRCMan have a 2.2s, and there are few people on the fence also.
